Robyn Rihanna who is also referred to as Rihanna is a Barbadian pop singer, songwriter and musician. Her hits include like Pon de Replay, SOS umbrella and Take a Bow. She's an extremely popular artist who has sold more than 41 million albums worldwide and more than 150 million songs. Born in Barbados she grew up listening to reggae music, and began singing when she was quite young. Afraid of her chaotic family life and the constant arguments between the parents, she absorbed herself into music. Soon, she decided that she would like to make it as a professional. She formed a musical group as a teenager and had the opportunity to perform with producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed by the teenager's talents. The singer moved from the United States to New York so that she was able to pursue a full-time singing career. Her debut album was soon out and Rihanna was a cult artist before long. Rihanna's songs that were a little giddy were top of the charts among teenagers which influenced her to pursue film. Nowadays, she's considered to be an entrepreneur and fashion-conscious young idol. Rihanna is also putting her fame in good use by being actively involved with several charities.
