Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American actor and musician who made her name with witty raps that delved into racial and sexuality with an edgy and humorous perspective. Then she moved on to Hollywood. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean parents who immigrated to Forest Hills Queens her first musical experience came via the trumpet. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop lessons began when she was in her teens. At college, she concentrated on her studies and majored in women's journalism and the arts. for a brief amount during which she lived in Beijing, she also studied Mandarin. After graduating, it wasn't until that she switched her focus to music. Her song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in 2012. It was eventually included in her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album also featured viral hits like the body-positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. This song was also featured in Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. The singer decided to pursue a career as an actor after completing her first two projects, as an author and musician. As well as early shows like Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films such as Neighbors 2. Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she got a number of important roles such as Dude Ocean's eight or Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by In Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
